Inktober, 2015.

First of all, I would like to tell a little about 'Inktober' for those who might not be aware of it.

Inktober is initiative/challenge started by Jake Parker where an artist does a drawing, sketch or a study in 'ink' every day in the month of October. Artist holds creative rights of the work done by him. They might post them online with their friends and even might use a common hashtag '#inktober', this helps people looking at other artists work working toward a common goal.

The goal is to get better at inking, trying different inking techniques and also to get better at drawing/sketching.

A Pencil might be the best tools to do sketches and drawing as it allows variation in line and with the flexibility to modify the sketch or a drawing.
'Ink' on the other hand, is unreversible(waterproof inks in particular). An artist needs to be really careful and thoughtful while making his marks on paper.

We may debate on how a medium/tool is better than other, but the goal here is to get better using whatever medium it may be.

Now coming to my personal journey with Inktober. I started with enthusiasm and positive mindset but could not carry it towards the very end. Today it is the end of the month and I am done with just 22 of the sketches. I am still happy at the progress made as these were done in between the regular work.

Below I am posting the sketches in the sequential order. You may also visit the links below for the same and more:
